Most of THE OTHERLAND ARCHIPELAGO is strictly residentially zoned. This means, that The Covenant does not allow you to open a shop, mall or club on your parcel (we don't do this to annoy you, but to protect the other neighbors on the same region from excessive lag, which often goes along with such businesses).
If you want to open a shop you can do this in our commercial district.
We currently offer commercial land (where it is allowed to operate a store) only on two special regions of THE OTHERLAND ESTATE:
Rue D'Antibes is set up as a little mediterranean town, complete with two grand piazzas, idyllic narrow streets and a three dozen prefabricated stores build by one of the most renowned builders of Second Life: Barnesworth Anubis.
Antibes is a mix of prefabricated stores overlooking a mediterranean harbor and some parcels which can be used for the creation of additional buildings of your choice.
The land on both of these regions is not sold but rented out - with payment only in L$ This land is not listed on our central land listing system. Please send an IM to Mikayla Gillespie inworld if you are interested in a commercial parcel (or send her an email)
