FREE FLOATING REGIONS

Most of THE OTHERLAND ESTATE is a little continent in the South East of Second Life's map, where each region is connected to all the other regions. This is nice actually, as you can fly (or sail!) from region to region and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

If you want a maximum of privicy, this setting might not be perfect for you, though. Thats why we offer regions, which are not connected to the main landmass of OTHERLAND. We call these regions "free floating", because you can think of them as floating in the endless ocean of Second Life.

 

Free floating regions do not only a maximum of privacy. They feature a "relaxed" version of the Covenant, too. In principle you can use them as you like - as long, as you do not violate the TOS of Second Life, of course.

Free floating regions are delivered with an initial terraforming and vegetation of your choice. You can change that after you took ownership of the land, though, There is no limit to your freedom. (Terraforming is not limited to the usual +/- 4m, for example).

The Facts:

Area: 65,536 sqm
Prim capacity: 3750 prims (compared to 15,000 on standard regions)
Avatar capacity: 20 (compared to 40+ on standard regions)
Terrain: Your choice (initially a copy of any other region on Otherland)
Climate: Your choice, please ask about available terrain textures
Vegetation: Your choice with an initial setup by us
Location: Our choice (but you don't see any other region, anyway)

Please note, that free floating sims can be ordered with an individual name, too. But ... depending on the actual name ordered, we might have to add a service fee of 50 US$, as we would probably like to change that name should you ever decide to leave your land. And Linden Lab asks for a service fee for any name change ...

As described above, the initial shape and terrain of such a region is a copy of an existing region on Otherland. You can choose any terrain that you see anywhere else on our estate. If you want a special terrain according to your own ideas and can't find that anywhere, just ask and we will make you an offer for creating this terrain.

Please note: This product is subject to availability. We can not guarantee, that a region with the desired features is available at any time. Creating new land according to your specifications might be possible, but will result in additional "custom delivery fees".
